USCG Aprroved Coastal Life Raft Manufactured of a heavier weight fabric and stored in a heavy fiberglass canister, the Zodiac Coastal carries the United States Coast Guard approval necessary for commercial vessels. The high visibility international-orange canopy with reflective tape and observation ports self-erects and is double wall insulated to protect against the elements. The aluminum lined composite cellular foam floor retains and throws back natural body heat to insulate against the cold and provide protection against hypothermia and marine life bumping the bottom. Other features include an inflatable boarding platform, internal and external lifelines, automatic interior light, rainwater collector, automatic position indicating light, large rapid deployment water ballast pockets, and righting strap. The included Survival Pack is complete with rescue kit and 98 feet of line, bailer, whistle, flashlight with spare batteries and bulb, floating knife, sea drogue with 98 feet of line, paddles, sponges, leak stopper, repair kit, pump, survival instructions, and immediate action cards. All of our cradles accept hydrostatic releases, which we highly recommend for added safety. A hydrostatic release deploys the raft and inflates it automatically when the release comes in contact with the water. All you and your crew have to do is jump or climb into the raft.Our cradles are constructed of 1" (25mm) tube diameter 316 stainless steel. They are designed to be mounted horizontally on deck and include two adjustable straps. The cradles can be padlocked for security (remember to unlock prior to departure).
