Oregon Fishing Report updated for
June 30, 2000

Here is this weeks information - June 30 - July 6, 2000

Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia for keeper and oversize sturgeon remains good. Keepers in the estuary, oversize in the gorge and not much in between. There are lots of salmon in the Clackamas and Sandy Rivers but you should be there early to catch them as warm weather and swimmers put the fish down in the afternoon! There is some good steelhead action on the Nestucca River- artificial lures only! The Santiams are producing well. The upper Willamette is well into moss season. The bite is fair at best in this section. Crabbing has been good on the Columbia but should turn poor with the high tides coming this weekend. Clamming and sturgeon fishing will benefit from the increased tidal influxes!
