CANYON LAKE: Water clear; N/A; 94 Court Order by the County Judge of Comal County.
"For the sake of the public safety of the citizens of Comal County and to prevent illegal entry to property, all watercraft motorized and non-motorized and all people are prohibited from the waters of Canyon Lake and Guadalupe River located in Comal County".
All U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operated parks and boat ramps at Canyon Lake are currently closed. These areas will remain closed until the flood waters have receded and repairs to park facilities have been completed.
Dam releases will be increased substantially beginning Saturday, October 10 to drop the lake level approximately 1 foot every three days. At that rate it will take about 69 days for the level to reach 920'. The Judge has promised to lift the ban at 918-920 msl.
