Fishing Report for CANYON LAKE

Water gin clear; 68 degrees; 909.35’; Black bass to 9 pounds are very good on watermelon/red Whacky Sticks, green pumpkin Snap Back lizards, and white Terminator tungsten spinnerbaits over gravel along buckbrush flats in 2 - 6 feet. Striped bass are slow, but there has been some early morning topwater action on Snap Back jerkbaits. White bass are fair on Shad Raps, Gulp Grubs, and live minnows downriver. Smallmouth bass are very good on wacky-rigged watermelon/red 4” Senkos on in.Kin. Wacky Hooks, root beer green flake Hula grubs, and watermelon Devil's Tongues on drop shot rigs over rock piles in 12 feet. Crappie are good on live minnows and white Curb's crappie jigs tight to brushpiles in 2 - 5 feet. Yellow and blue catfish are good on live perch and goldfish. Guadalupe/Blanco River trout are good on Scent Vent In-Line spinnerbaits, Berkley cheese Power Bait, eggs, and assorted flies.
