Subject: Lake Lavon Report

Water Temperature: 81 - 84
Water Clarity: 2’
Fished a full day trip today (Monday) with repeat customer Ronnie McGranahan. All in all, this was not a bad day on the water. We caught 54 fish. However, only 9 of those were bass. The others were sandies. I’m sure we could have caught many more sand bass if we had actually gone fishing for them. As for the bass, we caught them on everything we threw and should have had more bass but we both missed 6 or so bites. Early on we caught our fish on pop’r. Then switched over to Bandit crank baits, the best color was pearl white/chartreuse. We also caught fish on Gene Larew pumpkin, motor oil & blue fleck Texas-rigged worms. There is also a jig bite, we caught two very fat fish on black/blue Lockhart jigs tipped with a black/blue G.L. salt chunk. The sand bass we caught were brought in by Blakemore chartreuse Road Runners. Our bass were caught in 4 to 9 feet of water and 7 of the 9 were keeper fish up to 3˝ pounds. As for the sandies, those just popped up around us or we noticed them as we moved from spot to spot.
