Subject: Weekly Lavon Report

Lake Lavon

Water Temperature: 85 - 90
Water Clarity: 3’

I had a ½ day trip today, Tuesday, on Lake Lavon with Steve Bogart and his Father-in-law. We caught 12 bass up to 3 pounds and caught another dozen or so sand bass while we were bass fishing. Early on we caught our fish on Lockhart white, chartreuse and white/chartreuse buzz-baits. Then we switched over to Lockhart spinnerbaits in the same colors. As we moved out to 8 to 10 feet of water we threw Bandit splatterback crankbaits. We caught fish every place we stopped to fish. As we were fishing with our spinnerbaits two small schools of sand bass came up right at the boat. I’m sure had we been fishing for the sand bass we could have caught many more. Lake Lavon is 5 to 6 feet low, considering August is just about over the lake is in great condition. This summer has been one of the mildest of summers I can remember in recent years. Normally, Lavon is 7 feet or more low by this time and every lake is in critical condition. I am very glad that El Nino’ and La Nina’ are over and I’m sure the fish are too! For all of you who fished with me and are mentioned in this report "Thank you" I look forward to fishing with you all again in the future!

If I can be of more help or assistance regarding a trip or "Bassin’ Class" please contact me at 972-414-5189 / 800-965-0350 or by e-mail at FISHWJEFF@msn.com. The "Fat Girls" are up and can be seen at http://www.fishinwithjeff.com and you can receive more information on my full-time guide service & "Bassin' Class." I am currently booking trips for the remainder of summer and the fall is my most favorite time of the year to fish. So give me a call and lets go! Lavon has an abundance of crappie, bass & sand bass. The sand bass fishing is a great way to entertain customers, new fishermen & kids! The next "Bassin’ Class" is scheduled for September 29th, the cost is $75.00 for adults & $35.00 for students through high school including a $25.00 deposit. Until next time...Good Luck & Tight-lines!!!
