Subject: Flyfishing Wisconsin

Greetings from Wisconsin,
We have still been experiencing unseasonal temperatures here. Highs ahve only been in the mid 50's to low 60's, very unusual for this time of year.
The Hendrickson hatch came and went this spring with not many good fishing days due to the weather. We have been out recently fishing attractor patterns and doing fairly well. The bread and butter pattern for us so far has been the Pheasant Tail Nymph in sizes 16-18. We have had some moderate success using a Black Leech in size 6. Caddis patterns in sizes 14-18 have done well also.
Now that we are into the month of June hopefully we will have warmer weather with some good dry fly action in the next couple of weeks.
If you have any questions concerning hatches or patterns to use here in Wisconsin or the midwest please feel free to contact me or visit my website listed under Local Links on this page.
