There is lots of weed growth and that's where you'll find the fish. Penetanguishene Bay has been the hottest spot. Also try Go Home, North Bay (Honey Harbour), Hogg Bay and Sturgeon Bay. Top Lure: 3" to 5" or 6" to 8" minnows, Rapala Husky Jerk, "new" Rapala X-Rap Walleye: The walleye have been great! The fish are starting to move in numbers down to the Midland end of the Bay finally. More and more fish being caught are in the range where you can keep them - don't forget the fish in the 16" to 22" range have to go back. Penetanguishene Bay, mouth of the Wye River, Waubaushene. Top Lure: Multi-coloured jigheads tip with a leech or worm, worm harnesses - don't forget the bottom bouncer Salmon/Trout: Downrigging is off to a good start. Lots of lakers being taken, but some good reports of salmon too - maybe this is the year! Most reports are still in tight - the Hole has been producing well.
