Subject: Lakes Norfork & Bull Shoals Fishing Report

HI FOLKS!
THIS IS RON SCHNEIDER WITH THIS WEEK’S FISHING REPORT.
BOTH LAKES HAVE BEEN FAIRLY STABLE THIS PAST WEEK, WATER TEMPERATURE IS IN THE LOW 60’S.

ON BULL SHOALS, WILDERNESS TRAIL REPORTS THAT WHITE BASS HAVE BEEN VERY ACTIVE IN THE BACKS OF CREEK ARMS,
TOP WATER ACTION IS ON POP-R’S, TINY TORPEDOES, SILVER OR WHITE SPOONS, AND ALSO ROAD-RUNNERS.
SOME OF THE PLACES TO TRY ARE HOWARD CREEK, JIMMY CREEK, SISTER CREEK, AND BIG CREEK.

THEY ALSO REPORT GOOD SMALLMOUTH ACTION ON CHUNK ROCK POINTS IN MAIN LAKE COVES AND PART WAY INTO THE CREEK ARMS.
BAITS TO TRY ARE HULA GRUBS, TUBE BAITS, AND SPIDER JIGS IN COLORS OF WATERMELON RED, GREEN PUMPKIN, GOURD GREEN, OR MUD PUPPY.

ON LAKE NORFORK, CRANFIELD JUNCTION TELLS US THERE IS SHALLOW BASS ACTION PART WAY INTO THE CREEK ARMS ON GRUBS, CRANKBAITS, AND WHITE SPINNERBAITS.

THEY ALSO REPORT SHALLOW ACTION ON CRAPPIE WITH WHITE SWORDTAIL JIGS OR SMALL MINNOWS.

NIGHTCRAWLERS HAVE BEEN CATCHING A NICE MIXTURE OF LARGE BLUEGILL, BASS, AND CATFISH IN 12’ TO 25’ OF WATER, PART WAY INTO THE CREEK ARMS.

THE STRIPERS ARE STILL MOVING AROUND IN THE MIDDLE PART OF THE LAKE, OFF MAIN LAKE POINTS, AND PART WAY INTO CREEK ARMS.
THEY ARE MOSTLY DEEP, IN THE 50’ TO 75’ RANGE, IN 75’ TO 95’ OF WATER.
LIVE BAIT HAS BEEN CATCHING A FEW, BUT THE ACTION REMAINS SPOTTY.
EXPECTATIONS ARE THAT THEY WILL START TO MOVE INTO THE CREEK ARMS AND FEED SHALLOW ANY TIME NOW.

ON THE WHITE AND NORFORK RIVERS, BERKLEY POWER EGGS ARE STILL THE HOT BAIT IN YELLOW, CHARTREUSE, OR WHITE.
WHEN THERE IS SOME CURRENT FLOW, TRY BOUYANT SPOONS OR BLUE FOX LURES.

UNTIL NEXT WEEK, THIS IS RON SCHNEIDER WISHING YOU PEACE AND GOOD FISHING!
