Subject: Lakes Norfork & Bull Shoals Fishing Report

HI FOLKS!
THIS IS RON SCHNEIDER WITH THIS WEEK’S FISHING REPORT.

BOTH LAKES HAVE BEEN STABLE THIS PAST WEEK, AND WATER TEMPERATURE IS STILL IN THE LOW 60’S

ON BULL SHOALS, WILDERNESS TRAIL TELLS US THE BITE HAS BEEN SLOW, WITH SOME SPOTTY TOP WATER ACTION ON CHUG BUGS OR POP-R’S.
MOST OF THE BASS SEEM TO BE BACK AT THE 50’ LEVEL, AND PLASTIC BAITS LIKE GRUBS, TUBE BAITS, AND FINESSE WORMS ARE CATCHING A FEW FISH

THE WALLEYE HAVE SLOWED UP TOO, WITH SOME FISH BEING CAUGHT ON CRAWLER HARNESS RIGS IN 40’-45’ OF WATER IN THE CREEK ARMS.

ON LAKE NORFORK, CRANFIELD JUNCTION SAYS THE BASS ARE TOUGH THERE TOO,
BUT ALSO SAYS THERE ARE STILL SOME NICE BLUEGILL BEING CAUGHT ON CRICKETS IN 15’ TO 20’ OF WATER.
CRAPPIE ARE AROUND BRUSH PILES AND DOCKS AT THE SAME DEPTH, TRY MINNOWS OR PEARL SWORDTAIL JIGS FOR THEM.

RON DEARDORFF REPORTS SOME BASS ACTION ON HULA GRUBS IN GREEN COLORS, AND SPIDER JIGS IN BROWN/ORANGE.

STRIPERS HAVE BEEN IN THE MAIN LAKE AND PART WAY INTO MAIN LAKE COVES AND CREEK ARMS.
THE BEST BET IS LIVE BAIT FISHED 50’ TO 70’ DOWN, LOOK OFF DEEPER FLATS AND SLOPING POINTS, WITH FISH NEAR THE BOTTOM.
TRY THE MIDDLE PART OF THE LAKE FROM TRACY TO CRANFIELD, AS THEY ARE STILL ON THE MOVE AND SPREAD OUT.

THE WHITE AND NORFORK RIVERS CONTINUE TO BE GOOD, WITH BERKLEY POWER EGGS IN YELLOW, ORANGE OR PINK, AND ALSO RAINBOW NUGGETS STILL BEING THE BEST BAITS.

UNTIL NEXT WEEK, THIS IS RON SCHNEIDER WISHING YOU PEACE AND GOOD FISHING
