Subject: Lakes Norfork & Bull Shoals Fishing Report

HI FOLKS
THIS IS RON SCHNEIDER WITH THIS WEEK’S FISHING REPORT.

BOTH LAKES HAVE COME UP SLIGHTLY THIS WEEK, WATER TEMPERATURE IS NOW IN THE MID TO UPPER 50’S.

ON BULL SHOALS, WILDERNESS TRAIL REPORTS THE WHITE BASS HAVE MOVED BACK INTO THE CREEK ARMS, FOLLOWING THE SHAD SCHOOLS.
TOP WATER ACTION IS GOOD ON CLEAR POP-R’S, CHUG BUGS, OR TORPEDOS, WITH SILVER OR GREY SPOONS CATCHING THE DEEPER ONES.

LARGEMOUTH ARE ACTIVE IN THE UPPER END OF THE LAKE, TUBE JIGS IN GREEN PUMPKIN OR WATERMELON RED, ALONG WITH WIGGLE WARTS, NORMAN’S MIDDLE-N’S, AND BANDITS ARE ALL CATCHING FISH IN THE SHALLOW AREAS.
SMALLMOUTH ARE HITTING IN DEEPER WATER NEAR POINTS, TRY TUBE BAITS OR JIGGING SPOONS FISHED ON THE BOTTOM IN 48’ TO 55’ OF WATER.

CRAPPIE ARE ON BRUSH PILES IN THE CREEK POCKETS, SMALL JIGS IN WHITE OR PINK TIPPED WITH A SMALL MINNOW ARE WORKING BEST.

ON LAKE NORFORK, CRANFIELD JUNCTION REPORTS CRAPPIE ARE ACTIVE THERE TOO, WITH BEST ACTION ON SMALL MINNOWS.

THERE HAS BEEN SOME SHALLOW BASS ACTION ON SPINNER BAITS AND CRANKBAITS, TRY TOWARDS THE BACK OF MAJOR CREEK ARMS.

DAYTIME STRIPERS ARE SHALLOW EARLY, IN THE MAJOR CREEK ARMS AND UPLAKE, IN 25’ TO 40’ OF WATER.
LATER THEY ARE ON A SPOTTY BITE AT 50’ TO 70’ DEEP OFF MAIN LAKE POINTS AND FLATS, LIVE BAIT IS STILL WORKING BEST FOR THOSE.
WE HAD A REPORT OF SOME NIGHT-TIME STRIPER ACTION STARTING, TRY LARGER CRANKBAITS LIKE ROGUES OR REDFINS.

NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED ON THE WHITE AND NORFORK RIVERS, THE BEST BAIT REMAINS BERKLEY POWER EGGS IN YELLOW OR CHARTREUSE TIPPED WITH A BIT OF PLASTIC TROUT WORM OR BELGIAN RED WORM.

UNTIL NEXT WEEK, THIS IS RON SCHNEIDER REPORTING FROM SCHNEIDER’S ROD SHOP, WISHING YOU PEACE AND GOOD FISHING!
