Subject: Lakes Norfork & Bull Shoals Fishing Report

HI FOLKS!
THIS IS RON SCHNEIDER WITH THIS WEEK’S FISHING REPORT.

BOTH LAKES HAVE COME UP JUST SLIGHTLY THIS PAST WEEK, WATER TEMPERATURE REMAINS IN THE MID TO UPPER 50’S.

ON BULL SHOALS, WILDERNESS TRAIL REPORTS THE WHITE BASS ARE STILL PUSHING SHAD INTO THE BACK OF CREEK ARMS. TRY SPIT’N IMAGE JR OR CHUG BUGS WHEN THEY SURFACE, AND WHITE OR SILVER SPOONS ON THE DEEPER FISH.

SMALLMOUTH ARE ON PEA ROCK POINTS, WITH THE LARGER FISH STILL IN THE MAIN LAKE IN 40’ TO 50’ OF WATER. BEST BAITS HAVE BEEN TUBE BAITS IN WATERMELON RED OR DARK MELON PEPPER, ALSO FINESSE WORMS OR SPIDER JIGS.

WALLEYE ACTION HAS PICKED UP, WITH SOME NICE FISH STILL IN THE MAIN LAKE IN 45’ TO 55’ OF WATER.

CRAPPIE ARE BEING CAUGHT ON PINK OR CHARTREUSE JIGS WITH A SMALL MINNOW, TRY BRUSH PILES AT THE BACKS OF CREEK ARMS.

ON LAKE NORFORK, CRANFIELD JUNCTION SAYS CRAPPIE THERE ARE BEING CAUGHT ON SMALL MINNOWS IN DEPTHS FROM 5’ TO AS DEEP AS 25’.

BASS, HYBRIDS, AND WHITE BASS ARE BEING CAUGHT ON JIGGING SPOONS IN 50’ OF WATER, AND ALSO ON CRANKBAITS PART WAY BACK IN THE CREEK ARMS.


STRIPERS HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER END OF THE LAKE, WITH MORE REPORTS OF NIGHTTIME ACTION ON ROGUES CAST TOWARDS THE SHALLOW BANKS. DAYTIME FISH ARE HITTING AT 60’ TO 70’ DOWN, NEAR THE BOTTOM.

ON THE WHITE AND NORFORK RIVERS, BERKLEY POWER EGGS IN YELLOW OR CHARTREUSE TIPPED WITH A BIT OF RED OR PINK TROUT WORM ARE STILL THE HOT BAITS.
FOR BROWNS, TRY ROGUES OR HUSKY JERKS EARLY AND LATE IN THE DAY.
