Subject: Lakes Norfork & Bull Shoals Fishing Report

HI FOLKS!
THIS IS RON SCHNEIDER WITH THIS WEEK’S FISHING REPORT.
BOTH LAKES ARE UP SLIGHTLY, WATER TEMPERATURE HAS REMAINED IN THE MID 50’S.

ON BULL SHOALS, MIDLAND MARINE REPORTS GOOD BASS ACTION IN THE UPPER END OF THE LAKE WHEREVER THERE IS SOME STAINED WATER.
FROM LEAD HILL ON UP, FISH ARE BEING CAUGHT ON SPINNERBAITS AND CRANKBAITS IN SHALLOW WATER, AND SOME NICE SMALLMOUTH COMING IN ON HULA GRUBS FISHED AT 40’.

CRAPPIE ACTION IS GOOD ALSO, WITH FISH HITTING TUBE JIGS IN 15’ OF WATER.

THEY ALSO REPORT FAIR TO GOOD ACTION ON LAKE NORFORK BASS FROM CRANFIELD ON UP, WITH MANY OF THEM SHALLOW THERE TOO. BEST ACTION HAS BEEN ON TUBE BAITS FISHED VERY SLOWLY, AND THE ACTUAL BITE IS VERY LIGHT.

CRANFIELD JUNCTION SAYS THERE ARE SOME DEEPER BASS BEING CAUGHT ON JIGGING SPOONS, BUT THE BITE IS SCATTERED AND SPOTTY.

STRIPERS ARE IN THE MIDDLE PART OF THE LAKE AND INTO THE MAJOR CREEK ARMS, WITH EARLY MORNING FISH UP INTO 30’ TO 40’ OF WATER.
LIVE BAIT IS STILL BEST, WITH SOME NICE FISH BEING CAUGHT ON SMALLER 3” BAITS FISHED ON SPLIT SHOT OR BALOON LINES.
THERE ARE STILL MANY FISH IN THE MAIN LAKE, WITH MOST OF THOSE BEING CAUGHT BETWEEN 60’ AND 80’ NEAR THE BOTTOM.

THE WHITE AND NORFORK RIVERS CONTINUE TO BE GOOD, WITH THE TRUSTY BERKLEY POWER EGG IN PINK, CHARTREUSE, OR YELLOW STILL THE HOT BAITS.
