Subject: Peacock Bass in Florida

Water Temperature: 83
Water Clarity: 0

Hi all, well the action is still on as the hot sunny weather continues. Today I had a repeat costomers Tony & Chuck Bednarz a father and son team from Chicago. This day started out a little different, Tony (father)put the first fish in the boat a real nice 34" Snook that gave him a heck of a fight with only 12lb. test line. The fishing started out a little slow in the mourning, catching only 5 peacock's 1 snook and 2 largemouths. With peacock's you have to move around a lot till you locate them, but when you do the fun begins. After we broke for lunch I had gone to an area where there was cleaner water, and the action was steady for the rest of the day. Although the biggest was only 3.5 lb caught by Tony most all the peacock's were in the three lb. range which makes for a great fight. At the end of the day between both angler's they managed to boat 19 Peacock's 3 largemouth and 1 Snook. The boys will be back again in November for some Largemouth action with The Hawghunter. Good Fishin' Capt. Frank Carbone Pictures will be e-mailed upon request.
