Subject: Florida peacock Bass

The peacock is still a good choice for an enjoyable day of fishing.Today I had taken out Chuck Bednarz from Chicago for the fourth time, but this time with his better half Amy and 8yr.old son Mike. The first fish came quick with Mike catching a nice 3lb.peacock which he claimed broke his arm,but proceeded to fish the rest of the day.We were fishing an area called Blue Lagoon, after about an hour of fishing and 4 fish over the side, the Bednarz's Family experianced what they felt was the highlite of the trip.Together they spent 20 or so mins. petting, playing and takeing pictures with a family of mannatees. We then continued to our next spot picking up 1/2 doz. more peacock's and 1 NICE Largemouth Bass which CHUCK caught. By this time Mike was hungry so we broke for lunch at this great international cuban waterside cafe (Sonia's). After lunch the action picked up a bit,but this time Amy took charge landing one after another. I think her skills were enhenced by the corona's she had with lunch which made for a good laugh as she was busting them on Chuck passing him in number of peacock's caught.Mike almost had the trophy,he fought a nice 5-6lb. peacock, this fish had ran his bail three time before she pulled off right at the boat,we'll catch her next time Mike. By the end of the day the family had landed 18 peacock's 1 largemouth ,played with a manatee enjoyed a great meal and have a lot of pictures and memories to share. If your coming to Florida soon give "The Hawghunter" a call so you also can experiance the what the Bednarz's did.Good Fishin' Capt. Frank
