Subject: Stick Marsh/Farm 13

Submitted by George, Imagination Bassin Guide Services

Date Fished: 11/15/01
Water Temperature: 69
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

At 4AM it was windy and raining. The weatherman predicted winds 20-25 and gusting with 50% chance of rain. Off to the lake we went for a 1/2 day trip in search of Mr. Bass.

We got a late start but there were only two boats in the water when we got there. Only a mild drizzle but there was a bit of a wind out of the WNW. Heading for the running water at the spillway on Farm 13 we had a smooth ride until we hit the SE end of the Farm but there was nothing severe.

Digging out Carolina rigs, soft jerk bait rigs, and a jig or two we commenced fishing. The best bait was the Carolina rig although a few were gotten with a jig tipped with a smoke shad. The worst rain we saw was a steady drizzle and the sun broke out as the sky cleared at about 10:30. Heading for the ramp at 11:30 after a successful morning with 21 fish we decided that it was indeed good to ignore the weatherman and go fishing.

See you on the water: Want to know how the Stick Marsh stacked up creel wise over the last few years? http://www.imaginationbassin.com/Creel.htm

I think you will find the survey quite interesting. Say hi as you go by.
