Subject: Another Big Bass!

Hello Friends - Sundays catch was just what it should have been. If you have been to or followed my reports on my website you know that I rave about the new moon days and how big bass are always caught on these prime days following the very dark nights. Well, today my guest who booked a trip based on this info banged a nice 10lbs 5 ounce bass. Congrats to Dean Eberts and his new trophy bass. Deans bass measured 27 inches by 18 and weighed 10 lb. on the spring scale. She was partially egged out. Man she could have gone 11 to 11 1/2 two weeks ago. We took the spring scale weight and averaged it with the formula weight and came up with 10lbs 5 ounces. It's always a great idea to measure every lunker bass to compare the formula result's with whatever scale you might use. The measurements can be used along with a good photo to make a perfect replica to hang on your wall without harming the bass. Dean can't wait to get his replica. The bass was hanging out in the South end of farm13 very close to thick hydrilla. Live wild and fairly small shiners did the trick. You take what you can get as far as live bait goes these days. Yes, even the small shiners can produce well on these days. The water temp was 73 and winds 5 to 10mph . We fished 300 yards from the South shore and landed 25 bass before moving closer to were we caught Deans trophy. The road was in great shape and the main parking lot was not full. If your planning on fishing this season bring it on. You to could hook up with that trophy you have been dreaming about. A great presentation in the deeper water was a free line shiner. Capt.
