Subject: Fishing Report - Adelaide Metropolitan Area

Local whiting are still hard to find, with West Beach launchers faring best on the Somerton and Brighton grounds. Garfish and tommies are plentiful, while snapper were boated at the Goannas on Friday night.

Wonga Shoal provided one crew with blueys, garfish, tommies and flathead, with garfish, tommies and trumpeters on the Section Bank. Shore anglers caught yellowfin whiting and a few bream from the St Kilda breakwater, and some legal mulloway at Mutton Cove and near the Jervois Bridge.

Yellowfin whiting and garfish were again caught from the beach at Tennyson, but like the rest of our metropolitan yellowfin whiting this summer, many are under the required 24cm.

West Beach boat catches included garfish, big tommies, flathead and leatherjackets, while O'Sullivan Beach launchers found garfish and snook from Seacliff to Brighton. A few salmon trout were caught from the southern breakwater and at the southern end of Port Noarlunga reef.
