Hi Chris
Nothing technical, spinning was with either a sabiki rig (set of feathers) with a 2 oz. weight, or a 2 oz. Yozuri sardine spooon (with wire trace). The sabiki rig was the best. With either one, you throw it out as far as you can and retrieve it pretty fast!! That's it!! The sabiki rig was 'halved', as the way they are sold comes with 6 hooks - too many! I use light tackle, so even 3 hooks would be too many if you had a trevally on each! I fished from breakwaters around the Marina area. Other anglers there had similar catches, with small kingfish too by some saltwater flyfishers. But we were not catching a lot - just one or two a session. I went early evening (an hour and a half before sunset). I tried it on different stages of the tide but it seemed to make little difference. The fishing declined as the weather got hotter, and by May was pretty dead. Hoping that as temperatures cool now, things will improve. Sorry, have no pics!
