Hi Charley,

good for you. But not everyone can afford to hire a charter. some of us might have the resources to do that, while others would find it a waste of money.

I'm really surprised that you caught emperor Snappers here in the UAE. I didnt even know that they were around. I hope you released it as they are more like aquarium fish.....Or was it Spangled emperor (sherri) ???

Why dont you post some pics of your trip instead of just sending us the link to the charter service ?

Desmond.....spark plugs are ok....I have seen quite a few people use them, but I wouldnt recommend them, as they are more likely to get caught in the rocks.

Using a sinker with a roundish appearance is less likely to get caught in the rocks.
The number of hooks & the shape of the hooks also makes a difference to the number of times you get snagged in the rocks.

Practise well & learn well.....fishing is 5% art, 5% common sense & 90% luck......its upto you to try & make the most out of any given situation.
