By the way, I am using mostly braided lines. Braided lines are much stronger and casts further due to their smaller/thinner diameter thus weigh less compared to mono lines. Additionally, braided lines will require lighter weights as the thinner diameter is having less drag in strong currents.

HOWEVER as most thinner lines can easily cut through flesh, protective gloves need to be used.

Tying knots are much easier with braided lines compared to monos having the same strength rating.

The down sides;

EXTREMELY expensive (50lb/300yd, US made lines will be aroung=d AED160!

Get entangled easily due to the soft (sewing thread softness) nature.

Will "snap" if attacked by a fast moving predatory fish e.g Giant Trevally, Kobia, King Fish, Queen Fish etc if no shock leaders are being used. This is owing to the almoost 0% stretch.

Any points of abbrassions will also become the weakest point.
