Syed Ijlal, Fishing is quite a craze now in Brunei. Almost everyone is doing it during their spare time. Fishing is quite terrific overthere with lots of strong fighting fishes which will put all your gears and strengths to the test e.g Amberjacks, GTs, King Fish, Golden Trevallys, Samsons,Yellow Fin Tunas, Ruby Snappers, Red Snappers etc. Offshore fishing charters are also much cheaper (than here). Didn't do any fishing due was on a very short trip (only 02days) to attend a meeting additionally the weather is not that favourable nowadays. Only managed to go to the tackle shops there to check out and pick up few stuffs for myself and for Pranab. Phewwwww! Almost picked up either a Daiwa Saltiga 4500 (Retail for about SGD1000, was offered for SGD800) or Shimano Stella 20000SW (retail for about SGD1600, was offered for SGD1100)......it was so tempting! My worry was that, should I had picked up any of these reels, I would have to match it with a much better rod than what I already had.....which will cost another SGD600-800! SGD1 = AED2.6. Anyway, someone had offered me to tag along for the Musssandam trip. Will check it out if any vacant slot and will let you know. Cheers! |
