Saltiga 6500 Dog Fight....Saltiga 6500 Dog Fight...Saltiga 6500 Dog Fight.... ALL Together now.....

POOOOOOOF!

Sorry guys, I was "sleep typing"....!

Ok, Now back to the gear ratio.

Higher gear ratio e.g 6.2:1 would mean faster line retrieve. Lower gear ratio e.g 4.2:1 would mean slower line retrieve. Slower line retrieving reel will have better torque thus will make reeling in higher load much easier (feels lighter) than that using the higher ratio reel.

IF Jigging is your game, go for slower ratio as the action is mainly caused by the rod. IF popping is your game, then the faster, higher ratio reel will be best. Both can be used the other way round BUT might be abit strenaous as compared as having the proper reel.

BEST to have one of each!..he..he..he..

OMG.......I am getting my self in trouble now.....I might ALSO have to pick up a Stella after all! lol!!!!!!!!

DANG!

Cheers!
