I haven't yet used either braid or fire line, but according to PGFA (Pakistan Gamefish Association) which is also a member of IGFA, they say that that firelines should not be used whereas braided lines can be used by their members.

Fishking you should continue to contribute by sharing the information. there could alsways be a difference of opinion
