Amir, there is no doubt that your catch is very respectable. Beautiful fish indeed! The way they are treated, is not. However, it is also your choice, and you are free to do whatever you want with the fish you catch. If you are a family man, please reflect on this: Would you like your children to have the same fishing opportunities as you do? This is what a wise old man once asked me. Again, please don't feel insulted. Well done on catching the fish, it must have been a great fight. I just don't agree with the killing of fish. Dear Troller, Indeed, people on this forum tend to support the views of those who seem most knowledgeable at the moment...thank you for pointing out the flaw in my "theory" although i admit it is not mine, and i will look up the source. Is it true that larger fish contain better genes then in their roe? Hope you don't get discourage by the fickleness of some posters here and stay longer than some other gurus. Dear Pranab, Thank you for agreeing with me, although I was misinformed. yes, there have been many conflicts here on this board, but contrary to your statement, most of the more knowledgable contributers stay away from it, for example Kit, Jeen, Heber, AJ, Martin James, etc. Before you make a statement like "The beauty of this forum is there had been so many fights & so many misunderstandings but at the end of day we talk to each other & this forum survived". i beg to differ. this forum has become a place where many fights end up in valuable members leaving. Let us hope for the good of the community that this will end. As usual, i hope nobody feels personally insulted by my comments So, back on a happier note: Went fishing yesterday, the bridge between Marina Mall and the main island of Abu Dhabi. Tide was out, strong current, tried casting spinners at the queenfish, lots of follows but no bites. switched to a small popper, and immeditely picked up 3 queenfish to 3kgs. they were all released to grow bigger, but since i was fishing alone i have no pictures abuchatcher |
