Subject: Captain B's Alaskan C's Adventures

Hello,
This is the boat that Karen and I went out on. It is moored in Homer, Alaska. It is a 44' Jersey Sportfisher manufactured in NJ, my home state...
heheh =) Let me tell you all that this boat is completely plush in all its comforts and fishing amenities. It is Captained by Bryan Bondiolo and
complimented excellently by his first mate, Toby. These guys are the greatest!!! They are the most dedicated, accommodating, fun-loving, knowledgeable (the list goes on...) and competent crew I have ever been out with, and you all know I have fished a few times. =P Anyway, I will be sending you all copies of as many PICS as I can while I have to stay awake
for the salmon I am smoking right now. To give you all a BRIEF synopsis of our fishing trip, Karen and I fished 3 days in a row. They were Saturday
the 19th of August through Monday the 21st. Now let me just say that I warned Karen of how bad the seas and weather were in the AK and she was pretty
worried about rough seas and constant rain. Well, as you will see by the PICS we had bright sun and GREAT seas the entire 3 days and the fishing was just about as incredible as could ever be asked for!!!!! There were times when I looked around me in the boat and there were 40"+ Lingcod coming over the rails left and right. Believe me when I tell you this is no
exaggeration! Karen and I kept 7 lingcod with the smallest being 40" and the largest measuring a WHOPPING 50"!!!!!! This Ling weighed in at 48 lbs 2
ounces!!! Man it is Insane!!!! The Halibut fishing was equally crazy with nonstop action of keeper fish running between 18 and 35 lbs. We did see a
50 lb and 70 lb caught while out on our 3 days. What GORGEOUS fish! Captain B and his deckhand Toby also selflessly took the time to hook me into a TROPHY
Yellow Eye Rockfish to go with my TROPHY lingcod...
The Yellow eye measured 30" and weighed in at 18 lbs 6 ounces. For my 50" Lingcod and 30" Yellow eye I am submitting for an Alaska Trophy fish certificate. If accepted I will get a nice little certificate saying basically I caught a HUGE fish...on the best boat!!!!!!! What a blast!!!! How great was it??? Well, I had little Karen out there for 3 days straight on the boat for 10-12 hours and only getting 5 hours sleep every night and she out-fished almost everybody including me heh =) NOT! =P Well enjoy all the PICS and let me know what ya all think...
we miss you all
