The Slayer, Slayed'em. Last month I took my boat out (The Halibut Slayer) and we FLAT SLAYED'EM. There was three of us and we all limited out (Largest 20pds, the smallest was 8pd. I have to say that was the best halibut fishing trip I've ever had. They were hitting constancely all day, from the first drift to the last. We were fishing outside the Long Beach Breakwall, near the lighthouse. If you get a chance and you want to nail the butts (Please go, you won't regret it)
