Fishing just seems to be getting better and better as we approach our fall season. Already the water has begun too slightly cool down, and the morning runs are more on the chilly side of things, But the fishing is definitely hot! It doesn’t really matter what you want to catch from redfish, to snook, to trout they are all readily available and hungry.
The redfish have shown up in big numbers the past few weeks with fish on just about every point you hit, they seem to change the appetites daily though, one day pinners the next dines. Make sure you have something to measure them with because most have been over the legal limit of 27 in. You definitely do not have to go far to find good redfish!
The snook are also on the move, coming back from a summer of spawning they are looking to feed and get ready for the winter rest. Although there are a lot of them around they will begin to feed much better when the cold weather from up north finds its way through the state. Until then keep an eye out for them as they will show up on any structure or flat while they migrate back inside.trout fishing has been very good this past week with no less than 75 to 100 fish in a couple of hours fishing.
I had the pleasure of fishing Mr. Hatton and his twin sons Pete and Dillon both 8 years old. The plan was to keep the boys busy and that is an understatement. We started off catching Trout and soon had fish on every bait we put in the water, it got so crazy they were trying to put one out and not get bit, that didn’t happen once. Along with the trout we caught Spanish Mackerel, Jacks, Ladyfish, and 3 Cobia. After all the action we ended with lunch at Hooters, I’m still not sure weather the boys had more fun catching all those fish or flirting with our waitress.
It is time to get ready for fall because it will be here before you know it, a good way to see what is working and how to work them is to visit the Florida Sportsman show at the Tampa fairgrounds from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1. Look for me at the Pure Fishing booth, as I will be there to talk about and show you the very products we fish with everyday.

Next weeks report will be delayed a week as I am off to Vancouver on my Honeymoon.

Fish on,
