Winds and seas were pretty rough the beginning of this week, and I did not get offshore. Friday, I fished central Estero Bay. Using live shrimp, we caught five redfish, including a 18 ½ inch keeper, one big sheepshead at 20 ¼ inches, and released jack cravalle and mangrove snapper.

Saturday, we had calm seas, and I fished 18-20 miles off New Pass. We had a productive day, using live bait. We caught a 21 inch red grouper, two keeper yellowtail snapper at 13 and 14 inches, twenty-four lane snapper that were good eatin’ size, two hogfish and 15 and 16 inches, grunts, porkfish, whitebone porgies to 15 inches, and nine keeper mangrove snapper, which ended once the barracuda found us. We released lots of red and gag grouper shorts.
The photo attached is of a 28 inch gag we got last week, on a live pinfish.28 inch gag
