Subject: New Year Fish Report

Greetings Anglers!
The start of a new year is once again upon us. The start of a new year always means unpredictable weather and strong winds for the Laguna Madre.
Another thing, more importantly for some, it means is trophy trout. Big sow trout search the flats for an area to spawn. To catch a big trout before her
spawn means a fish 8-10 lbs. + is possible. But remember, these trout possess the future in their bellies. If the intent of mounting the fish is
not involoved, catching and releasing is the best thing to do to ensure next years catch. Redfish will become more active the warmer the water gets. Take
a break and visit South Padre!
Thank you,
Capt. Chris La Cross
