Feeling a little embarrassed right now with my outburst.

Well, I just took up fishing a few months ago. I go out most weekends. I have hit spots on Jumeirah Beach, Umm Al Qawain (near Hamriya Port/Town) and Near Hyatt Regency.

So far I have caught all of one fish.

I have read all the forums and try to follow the advice.

I am currently using a 6lb line with either no.4 or no.8 hooks. I do use a float and for bait have alternated between cut sardine and shrimp.

I dont know what I am doing wrong. I mean in a total of 8 mornings of fishing I have caught 1 tiny fish while I see people around me landing bigger stuff all the time.

So I just wanted to read up and find out some more about the different techniques/equipment being used.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
