Subject: Fishing Report - Eyre peninsula & West Coast

Boat anglers are catching plenty of garfish, whiting and snook at Smokey Bay but there was little news from the jetty.

Port Licoln has large salmon at Millers Hole and Salmon Hole. Whiting were boated near the airport sandhills, North Shore, Porter Bay, Tulka and Spalding Cove.

The first tuna pen of the season was towed into Boston Bay this week, hopefully bringing some following fish.

There were snook, tommies and squid at the town jetty, tommies, mackerel and salmon at the wharf, and trevally, tommies and salmon at the marina.

Arno Bay offered plenty of whiting and snook at Redbanks and Poverty Bay. Tommies were the main jetty catch, while yellowfin whiting were caught at Turnbulls Beach and Arno Bay.
