Subject: Fishing Report - Eyre peninsula & West Coast

There are still a few snapper in the shipping channel at Ceduna where whiting anglers are struggling to get past countless trumpeters. Blue crabs are improving and should peak in numbers soon and there are a few garfish and snook around. All jetties in the area are producing squid early and late in the day.

Smoky Bay launchers are catching whiting in the bay and around Eyre Island on calmer days, while jetty triers found squid, big tommies and snook.

Locks Well has salmon along with trevally and big tommies, while Sheringa offers whiting from the first beach, salmon from the surf beaches and sweep from the rocks.

Salmon and tommies are biting at Port Lincoln's main wharf. Whiting and garfish were boated in Spalding Cove, near the monument, and in Proper Bay towards Tulka. There are plenty of snook around Boston Island and squid at Louth Bay jetty, Billy Lights Point and the town jetty.

Port Neill has large salmon around Lipson Island, better whiting catches north of the town, and mixed boat catches elsewhere of salmon, snook, tommies and garfish. The jetty holds snook, tommies and squid.
