Subject: Fishing Report - Eyre peninsula & West Coast

Farm Beach whiting catches are improving, with the larger fish biting best in the afternoon. Trevally are plentiful around the reefs and garfish numbers are building around the Sticks and Point Sir Isaacs.

Sand crabs can be caught around Point Longnose, and big schools of salmon have been spotted between Point sir Isaacs and Reef Point.

At Port Lincoln, whiting can be found in Spalding Cove, Proper Bay and Thorny Passage. The town jetties are producing small snook, and the marina still holds yellowtail kingfish. Squid, snook, salmon. Whiting were boated around Boston Island, with snapper caught near Donnington Rock.
