Subject: Fishing Report - South East

A total of 1321 anglers' tackled83km of surf beach last weekend during the annual Kingston Lions Club's fishing competition. Mulloway numbers were up on last year, with Naracoorte's Richard James taking the largest at 12.44kg. Peter Durbridge, from Mount Gambier had the biggest stingray at 26.5kg, while the shark prize went to Harry Altschwager of Millicent. Brent Lodewyk from Bordertown topped the junior section with a 7.1kg mulloway.

Trevally, large whiting and small snapper were all active at Lighthouse Bay and Red Rock Bay.

Danger Point yielded larger snapper on Saturday night, while whiting and small salmon kept anglers busy inside the Port MacDonnell breakwater.

School mulloway were caught in good numbers in Glenelg River.
