Subject: Fishing Report - York Peninsula

Yellowtail kingfish are still visiting the end of Wallaroo jetty, attracted by schools of garfish and mackerel. Tommies are biting there after dark and blue crab catches have been good.

Boat anglers found plenty of garfish and blueys in the bay, with whiting best on the ballast ground and just-legal snapper on the tyre reef before dawn.

Snook are schooling near the end of the breakwaters. There are yellowfin whiting from the shore between Black Rock and Tickera.

Experienced boat anglers have caught whiting to bag limits at Point Turton, and plenty of garfish by dabbing on calm nights.

Boat catches were up and down at Stansbury, some returning with garfish, tommies and bag limits of whiting, while others had to battle for a feed. The jetty offers a few garfish and tommies.
