Subject: Fishing Report - York Peninsula

Garfish, blue crabs and yellowfin whiting can be found inshore at Port Pirie and Port Broughton. There are a few whiting on the Boiler ground, kingfish at the end of the jetty, and garfish, snook and occasional legal snapper for rock anglers at Point Riley

Port Hughes has kingfish at the jetty and whiting in the Steamer Channel.

There are garfish, squid and tommies for jetty anglers at Port Victoria, whiting inside and outside the Wardang Island, and one crew boated its limit of snapper at first light about 20km offshore.

Pondalowie Bay has been a reliable source of salmon, salmon trout, snook, whiting and a few mullet, while Stenhouse Bay jetty provided squid and a few snapper.

Salmon were biting at Butlers Beach on Saturday, and another group caught snook and squid in Treasure Cove.

Port Vincent has mainly tommies and garfish for boat anglers, with a few whiting offshore on the 8-mile grounds.
