Subject: catfish

Thx for your help but i doubt it is going to work. Ive tried lots of livers... chicken liver, cow liver, yes, and even squirrel liver. Ive tried the stinkiest baits and use each kind of weights, hooks, line, rods and ect. I only caught 1 catfish in this lake and i caught it on trout bait during trout season. It was the sparkly power bait. Do u think i should just use power bait from now on? There farm fish and i guess they dun eat to much wild stuff. I tried using power bait once (in catfish season) and didn't catch nothing. Thx

Subject: Carfish

Most of the So Cal lakes have catfish that are often caught from the bank with bait such as mackrel. I once saw a fisherman at Lake Piru with a 17 lb cat who told me he catches a big one about every third trip. He used a large surf rod and a 4oz weight to cast about 35-40 yards out and he used chichen liver for bait. Good luck next time.

Subject: I NEED HELP ON CATFISHING!

I know it isn't summer yet but i tried catfishing last summer and didn't catch nothing! I go to a local Los Angeles lake and it seems perfect for catching catfish but its not! (to me at least!) I have tried all baits..... Yes yes, even the stinkest bait in the world...Hog Wild. I tried mackeral that i caught when i went fishing out of santa monica. All poop baits. And im a 100% sure they stock catfish in the lake i fish at. I was thinking i was doing something wrong. And suggestions any1? I would really apreecitate it i mean REALLY appreciate it.
