Charter Boat Gulf Grouper Fishing Report Hernando Beach 05 December 2008 In between cold fronts the water temperature has gone up to 67 degrees and the Grouper fishing is outstanding. With perfect water conditions come spectacular fishing trips. Many anglers this week enjoyed limits of Gag Grouper. Some fish were in excess of 15 pounds. A slow approach has been the trick to make the Grouper bite. Just leave the bait on the bottom and do not move it. Unbelievable, but true this really works. Best baits are still Northern Mackerel , Grunt heads, and chunks of Mullet. Hernando Beach Fishing Forecast: Grouper season is at its peak. There is great fishing now! Subject: Cutting Edge Fishing Report
To all our valued customers,
Well another exciting month of fishing is nearing an end. And today was no different. The morning trip was slow but the afternoon fishing with the exectutives from Budwiser Beer was fantastic. We started off with a sailfish right away and then a nice couple of Kings. The kings were sky rocketing on our baits all day. And some were quit large. Our biggest today was 20 but we did see some in the thirty pound range.
The month was great overall, I think we caught over 75 sailfish and tons of kingfish, and some dolphin. The sailfishing was really exciting this year with over half being caught on tailers. A great month for Cobia too. We caught our largest of the season this month a 64 pounder. We captured over 50 Cobia. Some small ones but a lot of nice ones. Dolphin have not moved in yet but we have had spiratic excitement from them.
The boat is in good condition after rebuilding both engines in the last two months. We are looking forward to applying some paint next.
Some days are still open for June and late july and I hope to see you all again soon. Along with this message is a great photo describing what fishing is all about. Tight Lines |
