Went fishing on the Ms Magoo out of Westport WA on Wednesday, 3 September 2009. 10 anglers caught 198 albacore: 2 on the troll, 1 on a lead-head drop-back and the rest on 'chovies. The AM was rough and slow; the PM was calmer and wide-open late in the day. Some fish in the 25lb range, but most smaller. Find the birds to find the fish, about 40 miles off the beach.

My son and I just returned from Westport Washington. We went with Westport Charters- Chuck Custer was the captain. The waters were rough, we went 100 miles out for albicore tuna. There were 10 of us fishing, and pulled in 124 tuna during the day. They're out there, but hard to find. The weather was warm, but just about right.
