Fishing Reports: Using fishreports.net message board

Our fishing message board and website offer many features that make posting, searching, and browsing very easy to use. Please look below to find out how to use these features. The images below have black/green numbers on them, which correspond to numbered descriptions below the image.

Fishing Topics (The fishing message board starts here)

1) Display's the fishing location name and a link back to the www.fishreports.net home page.
2) Links to various board tasks:

  • Logout allows you to log out of the message board
  • Topics takes you back to this main fish topics page
  • Search takes you to the search page for searching the message board
  • Moderators displays the board moderators
  • Register allows you to register and log into the board
  • Edit Profile allows you to edit your profile you registered with

3) Fishing Topics, which contain many threads that contain messages and reports
4) Links to other message board features:

  • Topics takes you back to this main fish topics page
  • Last Day displays all messages and reports from the last 24 hours
  • Last Week displays all messages and reports from the last 7 days
  • Tree View displays an alternative view of the Topics page
  • Search takes you to the search page for searching the message board
  • User List displays all the registered users
  • Help/Instructions contains information of posting and formating your messages

Example of Specific Fishing Location

1) Displays different links or levels to a specific fishing location. The example shows:

Fishing Reports = Top Level (the Topics page)
Salt Water = Category (next level)
USA = Country (next level)
California = State (next level)
Port San Luis - Morro Bay = Fishing Location (actual message board)

2) Links (local) for the specific message board or the actual fishing location. To post a message, click "POST NEW MESSAGE"
3) Links (global) for any fishing location
4) Information about the poster (visitor, guide, boat captain, etc)

Posting a Message

1) Enter the following information

  • Enter your message, post or fishing report
  • Enter your username/password (only if your registered). If not registered, please click on the "Register" link at the top
  • FYI: You can enter a name and not be registered
  • To use HTML code or tags in your post, please click on "Help/Instructions" for details

2) Insert an image by clicking the "Upload Attachment" button. You broswe to your image and upload it. Once your done editing your message, Preview and/or Post your message.
