Subject: That's Better - 2001

I went out in that heat Thursday, the flotilla has arrived here at Newburgh, but so have the fish. I stayed out for 3 1/2 hours drift fishing with bloodworms. Caught 8 fish. The one pictured is, of course, the biggest one. The rest were also admirable, no minnies that day.

Good fishing to all, ChasBo

Subject: Start Small and Expect HUGE

I sent you a picture of one of last years catch, so I thought it only fair to give you a sampling of this years beginnings.

The fish are here, and there biting. The problem is that the only ones that seem to be hungry are the Lightweights. We fished for 12 hours yesterday, caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 fish. The water temperature will rise quickly this week, and wee will get into full swing by the end of the week.

A very important footnote is, the is a severe shortage of bloodworms here. Call ahead, or bring bait to be sure you have got some.

By the way I am talking Newburgh Harbor Area.

Good fishing to all, ChasBo

Subject: Annual Migration of Striped Bass

My name is Charles. live right in the heart of the major annual migration of the stripped bass here in Newburgh, NY on the Hudson River.

Attached please find a sampling of our catch from last season. This is not as big as they get, but it is surly an admirable fish.

The run has just begun here, but the water is just too damn cold yet. We will really start slamming them in about two weeks. We fish about a one mile
stretch of water up and down the river between Newburgh, and Beacon. We are so fortunate to have such great fishing only a few minutes from our back door.
Have a great season.

The ChasBo
