This report is compiled from numerous single day and multi-overnite trips conducted in the past 3 weeks. Nymphs were by far the most productive. Size 18-22s.WD40(grey),Copper Johns(brown),scuds(orange, red).Midges in the backeddys are present almost every day. Some action on Ginger or black buggers and grey or olive sculpins.Sculpins right at dark were a killer. The afternoons are the most productive time of day. Small, gery BWOs and some caddis can be seen on the surface. The wind has been the major deterantfor the dry fly fishing. The Chernobyl ant also took a few fish. I expect the fishing action to pick up throughout the fall as the kids are back in school and the water and air temps are cooling down. I am looking foward to those beautiful Indian summer days on the Green.
