catching bait fish (Shad)
this is easily done with a brite light before daylight go to about any dock area that will allow you to plug in a high powered light =Halegen use white light not yellow and you won't believe the shad that will show up. have your cast net ready let your light set out on the dock for say 30 minutes you'll see the shad swimming around feeding.

Subject: what kind of cats

what kind of catfish are in sm lake. I plan on moving to v.a (to the lake) in two years.I fish for stripers, bass,crappie up here in nj. I want to catch some flatheads or bluecats,we dont have those here.any fishing info would be appreciated

Could someone give me any info on where to get some live shad this spring, where is the most likely place to find them on the lake ?, what are their sizes running this time of year ?
