lake El Salto May 7-9 Had the bass fishing of my life. The lodge and service were both outstanding, we stayed at Anglers Inn. Weather was just ok, beautiful in the morning and windy in afternoo, somewhere in mid 90 for temp. The first day of fishing, I landed a 10.2, 8.5. 7 lb and aprox 40 beteen 2-5 lbs. had the provebial fish strory, had one on that hit a swimbait and took of, couldnt turn or even slow down the fish, snaped 25lb spiderwire. There are MONSTER fish there to catch. caught most of big fish on 6in Storm swim baits, but managed to catch fish on worms, rattletraps produced numbers, and top water produced fish for a limited time in morning and late afternoon. In 3 days of fishing I landed well over 200 fish. if you want to have a great bass fishing experience i strongly recommend El Salto |
