Subject: From the port of St. Joseph, MI
Fishing from the port of St. Joseph has been excellent all week. Kings, Coho and Steelhead can be found in 160 to 250 ft of water, fishing the top 25 ft. It takes longer to get to that depth than it is to limit out on the fish.

Subject: St. Joseph River Steelhead
Fishing on the St. Joseph River this week has been good. Water is clear with fish hitting both spawn and lures. Lures of choice are both Hot-in-tots and Flatfish. Fish have been in 5-9 ft of water. The weather has been outstanding, no safe ice on area lakes.

Subject: It's Trophy time again on Lake Michigan!!!
Coldwater Charters It's Trophy time again!!! | Capt. Mike Boyd of Coldwater Charters reports that it's Trophy time on Lake Michigan. The next 6 to 8 weeks year in and year out have the largest number of master angler salmonoid put in the record books. This year should be no exception! With a very healthy forage base the predator fish have been a=on a feeding frenzy since ice out. This means one thing "Trophy time". With the hot summer temps the Skamania Steelhead have been hanging around within a mile of the harbor for about a month. These fish have got to be the most acrobatic fresh water fish there is. These Silver missiles will test your angling skills to the fullest. Late July and August mark the return of the King Salmon to there natal streams and rivers making them easier to target then anytime of the year. With fish exceeding 30 pounds and fighting like and old Buick you can see why the launches and charter boats are very busy this time of year. Let's get ready to Rumble cause it's Trophy time again on Lake Michigan. For charter info click on Coldwater Charters at the top of this report.

Subject: Skamania Steelhead
Captain Bill is right, they have started to run the river. Skamania Steelhead seem to want the Thin Fins in red with black stripes. Fishing is best right out front when cold water has been set up in there by North or east winds. The photo is of a short afternoon trip. With some nice folks from Iowa. Thanks Fred

Subject: Skamania Steelhead
Steelhead fishing has been good the last couple of days in front of the St.Joseph Harbor. Surface down to 10 ft has been best using Thin Fins red in color. Cold water moved in yesterday after strong NW winds the night before.
Walleye activity also good.

Subject: St. Joseph River Walleyes
Action is picking up for Walleyes on the St Joe. Drifting with nightcrawlers is best at this time. Bring plenty of bait and tackle, as the river is unforgiving. Good luck

Subject: Skamania Summer run Steelhead showing up.
It's just starting but they are starting to show up. Huge plants of skamania steelhead are starting to show up looking for the mouth of the St. Joseph river. Key places for success are between the Cook Nuclear Plant and the Harbor. They can be from 40 to 120 FOW and usually in the Top 35 feet. Try Orange and red spoons or Stick baits in the same colors. The Fishery at St.Joseph on Lake Michigan is world class and the Skamania is one of many salmonoid that can be caught there. Check it out with your boat or book a trip on one of many fine charter boats based in St. Joseph. Thanks, good luck and be safe.
