Cannon Uni-Troll HP
The Cannon Uni-Troll HP is a package of a manual downrigger, base and boom, with a salt-water resistant composition for long lasting efficiency. The model is designed for high speed retrieve and takes little effort in getting the weight up faster, as much as 50% faster, and that too with one hand only. It has a low profile swivel frame for a quick mount base. Its clutch/brake system provides for safe, convenient one-handed operation. The reel handle needs to be pulled back slightly to start the slow, controlled descent of the weight, that helps avoid the usual problems of backlash or cable twist. A slight crank forward stops the weight at any depth as desired. The Uni-Troll HP has a high visibility depth counter and heavy-duty telescopic boom. Additional features include 2-position mounting base, positive locking rod holder and a ball storage hook to prevent weight damage to the boat. There is a 200ft and 150 lb test corrosion –resistant 316 grade stainless steel cable provided alongside for maximum durability in saltwater usage conditions.

In conclusion, the Cannon Uni-Troll HP package with its downrigger, base and boom in one with all its additional features is a great choice for excellent fishing, and it comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Where can I find a chart that matches the proper sizes of swivels and snap swivels to leaders? I preparing for a Fly-in Fishing trip to Ontario this summer and I'm trying to get some information on types of tackle and sizes of leaders/swivels etc

Hi guys,

This is my first time on this forum,
I'm new to Dubai and the sea fishing scene. I live at JBR in Dubai. I was wandering what the beach fishing is like here, and what tackle and bate i will need to get set up. Or any other locations that will be good for fishing close by. Also looking at going out to sea on a sea fishing trip at the end of October. Does anyone know a cheap but good option. Cheers Brendan
