Sam and Damien, anywhere in wport is good off the land no matter how shallow it is. My regular spot near corinella is about knee deep maximum for further than you can cast. But from there weve cuaght- flattys, mullet, trevally, elephants, snapper (5kg) estuary perch, gummys, jewies and every crap ray you can think of. Only reason its so good is cause the place looks so crap, shallow and pathetic, no-one fishes there!! |

Hey daryl regarding apollo bay breakwall. Ive fished there quite a bit with not too much luck. There is your general trevally and salmon bout half way up wall. First quarter of wall good for whiting. As for the rest, ive been smoked a couple of times from rays. Havnt seen much else off their. Ive dived there a bit though and seen some massive rock cod, huge 2 metre plus rays and some decent ludrick. Hope this helps, Good luck |

Seven Gill Sharks are currently being caught off Ryhll Phillip Island in about 40 ft of water (14 mtrs) Latest report of 5 Snapper off Bouy 13 near Cowes, and Large Gummy Sharks from the corinella area near Snapper rock. There are plenty of Rock Cod about at present so the bait disappears pretty quick. You must berley for the Seven Gill Sharks for around 5 hrs, The Shark taken this week was on Half a Salmon, Big Game tackle required. Weighed in around 80 kg's. |
