Stan, I am in Nichols, in the park. The cheapest of them all, but you must keep your boat there in the winter, if you want your spot back next year. Tottenville you don't have to keep your boat there. At Nichol's you can do all your own work, not like the others where they must do everything. Why do you want to leave Tottenville? Mike, the show is March 14-16 in Somerset, NJ. Google Salt Water fishing EXPO. |

Mike, I didn't go to the seminar because they are usually disappointing. I picked up a 7' spinner to replace the one I broke. I go to this show just to get out, it's the Salt Water Fishing show(Somerset)in March I enjoy. |

Just got back from the show with my Family Seemed pretty packed. Im not too sure about the prices of some of the stuff there, But really wasn't in buying mode anyway Was alittle disappointed with the seminar supposedly about Fishing off of SI and NJ The guy seemed more interested in giving a basic lession about boating (using radios,GPS'/Loran etc)and using Umbrella rigs and how braid was better than wire. Then talking about what type of bait to use, setups or rigs etc... Kind of figured that the guy wouldn't give away any secrets, but figured he would have atleast covered the basics of fishing instead of boating! Was the kind of speech that if you wanted to go on my boat, I'll get you fish, but otherwise I ain't talking!!! What you think G??? |

No fee to fish of the two piers in Staten Island. The pier at Sharrotts Ave, fish only on the incoming and beginning of the outgoing tide. It's very shallow there. The new pier, off Father Capadano BLVD is very good and also very crowded. Fishing off the beach in Great Kills is very productive in the spring, Bass and Blues. |

Was planning to head out today, had work issues. Boy it's going to be nice, really pissed off. Will try to head out on Thursday, not sure though. I love Mackerel fishing, lots of fun. I keep the small ones for Striper bait, then give the rest to the crew. This trip I have to give them to my friend Pete, he needs shark bait. |

We have two runs here, the fall and the spring. For me, the spring run is the best. The Bass season is from 04.15 - 12.15. I catch fish between 38 to over 40 inches every spring, with live Bunker. In the fall, I they do excellent at night with live eels. |

Okay I got up early today and caught NEAngling on SNY cable again and then there's another program called Off The Hook Think its alittle more interesting right now cause They coveres Stripper fishing from Maine down to Block Island This guy was pulling out fish that were 40+ inches Long that weighed a Ton and he mentioned that it was in late May! Now heres my question. Since Im still learning about Stripped Bass When does the season start for us? I still see guys going out down here off of the Conference House, Im not sure what if anything they are getting! I have to agree with you Stan its way to cold out!!! Happy Holidays All!!! Mike |

Three of us went out of Gerristen Beach on the Flamingo III, very disappointing night. There were about twenty fares, maybe eight keepers. Fished the edge of Ambrose Channel, Brooklyn side. There was a time where not one fish was caught for around two hours or more. Not where I thought the boat would go, which was Breezy Point. |
