Went over to the Pier at Lemon Creek this afternoon and there was absolutly
nothing going on at all
Just got a few small Spider Crabs which were returned
Anyone know if these things can be eaten???

Anyway we went over to GK Harbor and tried our luck over there
Only to be turned away by Neptunes Masses
Nothing but a few Baby Blue Claws which were
returned also

Seems like the drought is still in effect for us!

Try Vinegar for Jelly Fish stings
Alot easier to put on and alot less smelly

Also one other benefit
You don't have to tell people you peed on yourself
to get rid of the stings!

BEEN THERE DONE THAT

HERE IS A LITTLE CURE FOR THE JELLY FISH I HAVE USED IN THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS
THEY SAY URINE IS THE BEST WAY TO GET THE STING OUT BUT WHO WANTS PEE ON THEM, PLUS ITS HARD TO GET YOUR ELBOW IN THE PORTAPOTTY
TRY USING LYSOL WIPES OR CLOROX WIPES THEY COME IN A PLASTIC CONTAINER WHICH I KEEP ON THE BOAT WIPE YOUR SELF DOWN IF YOU GET JELLY SHIT ON YOU
THE STING GOES AWAY IN ABOUT 2 MIN
I HAVE GOTTEN STUNG EVERY TIME I GO OUT WHEN I BRING UP MY ANCHOR (WISH I HAD A WINDLASS)
TALK TO YOU SOON

I SHOULD BE OUT ON SATURDAY EARLY AM LET ME KNOW IF YOU GUYS WILL BE OUT
WAS GOING OUT ON FRIDAY BUT WIFE GOT TO ME FIRST

Speaking of those Jelly Fish, be careful when pulling in your line or a fish. I had a Fluke splash the water while pulling it in and it was right next to a Jelly Fish, I was splattered with the crap on my face, neck, chest and it felt like I was on fire for around two hours. Felt like you were being stuck with hot needles.
Will be trying again on Friday and heading to jamiaca Bay on Saturday for the elusive FLUKE !!!!

I was out on Saturday in the triangle and caught roughly 20 fish and not one keeper. Did catch the biggest sand shark of my life. Over 4 ft. long.

I hope the weather holds off. Heading down to Cape May Thursday night for an overnight trip for tuna/mahi.

Hopefully post a good report this weekend.

Just to let everyone know
There is a Tropical Depression forming off of the
Carolinas today
National Hurricane Center is calling for it to
become the third named storm of the season sometime today
According to the computer models its supposed to
stay off shore but be close to us by Sunday
evening/Monday Morning
So its probably going to get choppy out there
so to Quote The Sarge from Hill Street Blues

Lets Be Careful Out There

Boat is almost ready, waiting for a part.
Went out today with Sal and lloyd on their boat in Jamaica bay. We had a total of 34 Fluke and 2 keepers. It isn't good throwing back 20 and 19 1/2 inch fish.
We fished the Silver Hole.
When I was young that was some Flounder spot.

Who needs a stinkin' boat ???
My boat is still dead in the water, so I went down to relax. The water in my slip exploded, and whala a six pound Bluefish. When I was done the total was, three Weakfish (12 inches) and the one Blue, all were returned to fight me again.
New York Weaks are 16 inches and I think that is too small, should be at least 18 inches.
All were caught off my boat in the slip.

My boat is dead AGAIN, manifolds.
Would like to be in action again by the weekend.
So far I have caught over 55 Fluke with only one 21 inch keeper.
Good like guy's.

Went out yesterday and tried all over the bay but no luck. Started at Old Orchard but no luck. Took a trip to the triangle with no luck and finally ended up at the Hook and finally hit one sea robin and one short fluke. I'm thinking about going out Thursday night because I am sure the rookies will be out at the ramp this weekend.

Went out to GK last night with my Son
Pretty much got skunked because I
did'nt check the tide times
But had a good time anyway
Got one Sea Robbin and one Blue Claw
Released the Robbin but kept the Blue Claw
for the Better Half (She loves them!)
Hoping for some additional time this weekend
if the weather cooperates!

Let's take it one at a time,
1st - Went fishing off my friends boat for Fluke. We got 14 fish and only one 22 inch keeper. We fished Jamaica Bay, Marine Parkway Bridge.
2nd - Snappers won't be in until late August.
3rd - Throttle went bad, having problems getting a new one, since Mercury discontinued mine. With the new one, I will need new cables and will run close to $1000.00. I don't think so !!!!
